Holding a Master of Arts in professional counseling and a doctoral degree in counselor education and supervision, Alysha Blagg teaches in Liberty University’s Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling program as an assistant professor and Ohio Christian University’s Adult and Graduate Studies programs as an adjunct professor. Alysha has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including community mental health and private group practice, providing counseling services for children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Additionally, she specializes in working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. Alysha is involved in the American Association of Christian Counseling (AACC); American Counseling Association (ACA); American Psychological Association (APA); Ohio Counseling Association (OCA); Ohio Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling (OASERVIC); Central Ohio Counseling Association (COCA), and Chi Sigma Iota (CSI). Alysha’s goals for serving on the ADAMH Board are to bring knowledge to the greater community regarding mental health issues, empowerment to those living with mental health needs, and education and increased competency to those serving individuals with mental health needs.
