Whitney Babbert

Since May 2014, Whitney Babbert has been a probation officer for the Adult Court Services Department of the Licking County Common Pleas Court. She supervises individuals under Community Control Supervision that are “High/Very High Risk” with severe mental illness. Whitney earned her associate’s degree in human services (Central Ohio Technical College), bachelor’s degree in social work (Mount Vernon Nazarene University), and master’s degree in criminal justice with a concentration in criminal behavior (Tiffin University). She has been certified as a Crisis Intervention Team (C.I.T.) officer and an instructor for Thinking for a Change (T4C). Whitney was awarded the 2018 Licking County C.I.T. Officer of the Year by Mental Health & Recovery for Licking and Knox County. On a personal level, Whitney has experienced a journey with her own mental health. She has loved ones affected by the same as well as the disease of addiction. Whitney has a special place in her heart for those who suffer from mental illness and addiction and a passion to help others find light in the darkness.
