The Fairfield County Photography Project receives grant from
the Fairfield County Foundation

The Fairfield Mental Health Consumer Group has received a gracious grant of $2,500 to the Fairfield County Photography Project from the George and Dollie L. Zimpfer Fund, administered by the Fairfield County Foundation. The Fairfield County Photography Project is a collaborative effort involving several local agencies, including: the Fairfield Mental Health Consumer Group, The ADAMH Board, the Southeastern Ohio Center for Independent Living, and the Recovery Center.
The funds were awarded to the project so that a group of consumers in recovery from mental illness and alcoholism/chemical dependency can learn camera and editing techniques and collectively produce a book of photographs. The book is meant to demonstrate throughout the community that individuals who experience mental health and addiction issues are much more than their illnesses, and recovery is possible.
